I'm going crazy. Maybe Im just thinking wrong, please help me. I want to start a new pattern and usually I use the stitch-option, but now I need to make a pattern based on measurement. I need a pattern 6,5 x 10,5 cm. First problem, - no option for cm, only inches. That I can fix though and calculate it to match. Second, I'll be using canvas 22 ct. So..! For example I try 2" x 3" , 22 ct. higher count=more sticthes. But when opening this I get a pattern in just a few hudge sticthes. What am I doing wrong? |

Check the "zoom" factor. You can set that from "fit" (or similar to width/height) to 800%.
I don't know if you're talking about importing an image or just designing the pattern. The former is a different process and you tell the program the stitches. In that case, your image should be approximately the same size in pixels as your final design is in stitches. It will look tiny but 1 pixel/stitch is the best.
Also, the appearance of the stitches on the screen is not an issue. The count of stitches for your project, regardless of what size the computer thinks the size will be is more important. A stitch is a stitch. If you design for 22 ct and then later stitch in 14 ct, the pattern is the same. Just the result will be different (bigger) and the estimates of floss usage are less reliable.

I got the centimeter/inch-thing worked out. It was set on cm in "options", but I chaged to inch and then back to cm, - that worked. But the stitches are still huuuudge.
