Hi, I am an old user from back in the day (I think versions 4 then 7) and I just got a new computer and decided to pick up a current copy of the software, as I really loved it.

I am getting error attempting to install version 11 on my Windows 10 Home laptop, but I get the following error:

Error Code: -5006 : 0x80070020
Error Information:

PVENDOR:M&R Technologies, Inc. (www.pcstitch.com)
PGUID:492F4F94-FBF5-44A9-9354-0D697D2C8E86
$16.0.0.400PAK
@Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 0 (9200)
IE Version: 9.11.14393.0

Thanks,

Yeah, I rebooted, I tried various installs. I downloaded again.

The lack of people posting about in not working in Windows 10 and the fact that I used to write Windows programs gave me hope. but I had run out of options other than the "big one" - asking for help, then having it suddenly work. :)

My suggestion would have been to reboot and try again.

Obviously something didn't go in right the first time, it happens.

At least it did work for you. I tried at least 7 or 8 times in different ways to get an old game to install on Friday. I mean, I really tried but kept getting read-access errors. Sometimes, things don't work out. I did get 28 other games off that disk and I only paid $1.00 for it so I guess I'm still ahead (51 games total - some I already had by the same distributor). I know -- mostly off-topic but I can't spend ALL my time on PCStitch

So.......

I go thru all the effort of making a post, and then I try "one more time".

It worked of course.

So, this topic is resolved. :)
