I don't have a working printer, so I am going to a friend's to print. They don't have internet. I've exported my graph to a file on my computer but when it prints it only prints one page and it's hard to see all the lines, how do I get it to print a split graph on different pages?

When you click on "Save" or "Save as", it automatically saves it as a .PAT and changes the current .PAT to .BAK as a backup.

When you do the import/export, saves it as a .jpg file.

What I am recommending requires you to have Adobe or one of the pdf clones like Foxit installed. They have a "pdf printer" (virtual printer) that you can use to create a PDF file. What you do there is save your file (as a .pat) to protect your work and then "print" it. You don't have to have a working printer for this. Just select the PDF creator as the printer. In fact, you can set that as the default so that any file from any software you want to "print" will create the file for you. After you select the printer, set the print parameters you want (basically, keep the defaults) and "print". You will be prompted for a location and a file name.

Then copy that file to a flash drive or whatever to take to your friends house. Since almost every computer sold in the last 15 years or so has Adobe or an Adobe clone pre-installed, just load that file you created in it and then use the normal Print from your friend's computer and printer.

Good Luck,

Diane

ok I'm not great with computers. How do I save it using a different format? I just clicked on save and it didn't give me any choices. Then clicked on import/export and it automatically popped up a box for me to use and save, through pc stitch

How it prints depends on what format you used to save the file FOR print. If you used a JPG, it usually does run it all into one page.

I suggest you use something like Foxit or Adobe and use their "print to PDF" feature and create a PDF file. Then at your friend's house, load the PDF and print it.

Good Luck,

Diane
