I have imported a picture that I want to use in this paid program as well as the trial version (Same with other pictures I have ever used)

I click on the pattern preview after I have finished adjusting the picture to the way i like it then the whole pattern is solid pink

Please help me fix this issue. I would hate to have to ask for a refund because I just bought this program today

Yes and still installs the same old file everytime. I did a regular uninstall and then a powerful uninstall to get rid of the files left behind. Absolutely nothing but the same crap

One more question -- you say you've uninstalled and re-installed. Did you just do the simple uninstall for Windows or did you use something like Revo Uninstaller?

Windows uninstall just uses the uninstall procedure provided by the product. Revo goes farther and looks for files and registration keys/values that have been left behind. Some products leave nothing behind and some leave major amounts (McAfee left over 1800 registry keys behind). I suggest you try that and then reboot before a re-install.

Note - Revo Uninstaller has a free version for 32 bit but there is no free version of that product for 64 bit.

Oh lawdy that's alot. It happens in both standard and custom pallets yes to all the above. Everything is updated. Antivirus yes I use Advanced System Care. It worked once and then it just quit.

I just need to give it up and ask for a refund and use a different graph maker. It is very frustrating when I am asked by a dying grandfather to stitch a blanket of my late grandmother before he passes so he can be buries with it.

I'm using Windows 10 also and not found any errors.
Pink pattern... never seen such. No difference between demo version and full.

Can be many reasons related to the operation of your pc.

Do you used standard or custom palette?
Setup in default path?
Latest video drivers?
System updates? (Windows 10 Preview or Final 1607)
.Net framework?
Antivirus?
UAC Level?
Are you installing software As Administrator?

P.S.
FC I remember a lot commands of dos and often work with them. But have never had to use FC. Good job.

Perhaps I can somehow email the picture of what it's doing. Then you'll get a good glimpse of my frustration lol

I just tried it on Windows 8.1 and it worked fine. As I was doing it, I got to thinking

I tried doing, violating my most stringent recommendation -- keeping a 1/1 ratio of pixel to stitch. I tried to force multiple pixels into a single color and it still worked. I played with the number of colors to use and could not get it to fail.

I would like to know the parameters you are giving the product and the steps you take before you end up with the pink display.

By parameters, I'm referring to the pixel size of the original, the stitch size, the percentage of colors to put to the foreground, the number of colors, the size of the preview you select (I always use "to fit") and any other parameters you think necessary.

The more information available, the more likely we are to find a solution.

Good Luck,

Diane

First - be patient. It's Sunday and Mark may or may not check his mail today. I'm sure this can be fixed. Later, I'll check it out on Windows 8.1 to see if there is any difference between what I've seen and 8.1. I do not have Windows 10. I refused to bow down to Microsoft on their attempt to force "free" down my throat.

It may be a problem with Windows 10 but if you think you have a bad download, you can re-download it (save the original file).

Your unlock key will not change.

If you do try a new download, I suggest you compare the files. First, make sure they are different names (you have to have that to have 2 copies). Try to make the names short and make sure you know where they are. I suggest you put them both in Downloads. Then do the following:

* Open "Command Prompt" -- it's an accessory in Windows 7. When you open it, it should have a "prompt" of "C:\Users\" followed by your username ending with "\".
* Change the pointer to your downloads by typing "cd downloads" without the quotes.
* enter "fc" followed by the names of the two .exe files. If there are any spaces in the names, enclose the names within quotes.

If the result of the FC (File Compare) command comes back and they are the same binary file then the problem is NOT a bad download.

The best way to exit the command prompt window is to type "exit" without quotes.

Note, none of these commands are case sensitive.

Do you realize what you have done if you do this? You have used and OLD OLD OLD OLD DOS command. Yes, I'm old enough to know this command. I just used the setup to verify the pointers. I still use this and other DOS commands from time to time.

However, I do believe that as many times as I have installed and re-installed this program that it still does the same thing. I have a bad download apparently How can I fix that I am at my whits end with this program software and have been trying for a couple days now to fix this issue. I am about the ask for a refund and leave a bad review.

I am running on Windows 10. I have tried using multiple pictures and I get the same thing
Dragonlair Posted - 12/18/2016 : 10:10:34
Have you tried any other image converting?

I would try that.

I have used 11 for an image conversion and it worked fine for me.

What OS are you using? I'm running Windows 7.

I cant get it to load correctly. There is no pink within my picture. I tried saving the pattern however it is still showing as a pink background.

I went to Mark's profile from the board and emailed him. Waiting on email back. I dont know what to do. Is there a way that I can perhaps try the PC Stitch 10 instead of the 11 since there are problems with this version?
Dragonlair Posted - 12/18/2016 : 07:24:51
I don't know the problem but I suggest you go ahead and save the pattern when you have it as you want and then look at it.

One possible problem is that when you preview it may be zoomed up so close that you only see a small portion of the pattern. Is there any pink in the pattern? Try zooming out and see if that helps.

Before returning, if you cannot get it to display right, contact Mark (check his profile on this board) about the issue.

Also, try another image to see if that works. One more idea -- try saving earlier just to see if it is just at that one point where it turns pink.

I'm trying to brainstorm here. I hope at least one of these ideas work.
