Posted - 12/07/2016 : 10:18:14 Hi I am quite new to this but am following instructions on first tutorial and cant work out why it isn't working. Trying to add text to my design. I select 'text' and select my font. Then I click on the design and the vertical line (which is really a box) appears. I use the cursor to enlarge the box widthways, and the cursor inside the box is flashing. However, when I type, nothing appears in the box. What am I doing wrong? This happens on both stitched and true type fonts. Its worth adding that I have dont it successfully at times, while I was practising, but now when I know what I want, it just wont work! Help!

Posted - 12/07/2016 : 12:27:52 When you get that "box" when you select a font - don't widen it or touch it. Just click the mouse until you get that box where you want your text to start and then start typing.
