Hi I am new to this forum and am sure I can learn a lot from you folks.
I am also sure some of you wonder where my User Name came from well I drove school bus for 31 years.

My question: Is there a way when using your own photo to minimize the number of colors the system uses. I tried a picture of a flower and an inch square had 13 different colors incorporated. Needless to say I gave up trying to stitch this picture but now I don't want to try anymore photos. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Happy New Year to you and yours.

I believe it's the same for PCStitch 10 as it is for 11 - Click on the "Floss" tab at the bottom half. There is a spot there to select what floss palette to use (default is DMC Stranded Cotton) and at the very bottom is where you can set the maximum number of colors to use. In the "Foreground" tab, you can select the percentage of colors to use for the foreground to minimize the complexity of the background.
