When I print a pattern with the symbols, the white background has its own symbol. Then, a few blocks have nothing. Is there anyway to fix this problem? That the background is just the grid.
Thank you.

Elayne,

Did the symbol for the background have a color associated with it? If so, you can remove that color - for the entire pattern. If that is the case, it might be faster.

However, if this is acting this way for even the default patterns that come with the product, then there is a problem and you should let Mark know about it.

Good Luck,

Diane

Yes, you have it. The symbol could be anything, I have had 3 different symbols, where the white background is. But, now I found that before printing, I can erase those symbols for the white background. Takes awhile. Then last night, after checking the symbol pattern, if there wasn't that symbol in the design, I could delete that symbol and the background came up blank like it should. I guess that is the way I will have to do it. I had even uninstalled and then re-installed the program, but it had done the same thing.
Thank you for your time.

Let me see if I understand the problem.

You open any (and I mean any) pattern and the background is blank with no symbols.

If you print a pattern, there is a symbol for all blank background.

What does the key show for that symbol?

If this is an accurate description of the problem, I recommend you contact Mark and send him screenshots of the pattern view and the print preview so he can see the issue.

Good Morning,
I have been trying to figure this out and still can not.
I open a pattern with a white back ground. The picture opens up and the grid for the white background shows blank. The grid lines are there, but no symbol is in them, just symbols for the picture. Like it should be. Okay, I click on print preview and the white background has a symbol in it, as with view symbols. The symbol is either a black dot or diamond. I have tried everything to get rid of them but can not. I opened up one of the pictures that came with the program, and it opens up with the white background. The grid with there is no picture are blank blocks and prints out that way.
So, if I have a picture with a white back ground and there are 20 blank spaces, then the picture starts, there should be 20 blank boxes then the symbols start for the picture. This does not happen with my print preview or print out.
Please try it and let me know. Thank you

I have no idea what you are describing. Try doing a print preview and see if it shows there. If it does, try a print to a PDF (using something like Primo PDF) and send that print to Mark to ask for help.
