How do I convert my palet or colours to Dmc wool??
Laine colbert is the only thing I use.
I also find using pc stitc bit of a study in itself

You might check if the myriaCross Floss product has a conversion for that brand. I personally have never heard of it so I can't direct you more closely than than.

As for the use of PCStitch. I found it rather intuitive to use from the start. Like most powerful products, there are a lot of features and it sometimes just takes a bit of "playing" and not being afraid to "click" to see what will happen.

Also, take the tutorials. They may help you.
