I have a pattern with some thread shades listed twice or three times on the palette. Each has a different symbol (to stand in for different types of stitches). Everything is fine until I select an area and copy it -- the symbols change to that of the same thread listed earlier in the palette. Which makes a hash of my pattern! Is there any way around this?

TIA

Probably not since most patterns don't have multiple symbols for the same color. I understand what you're trying to do but it's not the way the program is normally used.

the one suggestion is to maybe do a manual ordering of the colors so that the ones that get copied most are at the front and maybe those will get copied rather than other symbols. YOu can always resort the palette later when the patten is complete for distribution.

There is no such thing as a stupid question
