Posted - 11/10/2012 : 06:20:40 Excuse me if I seem dim, but I don't know if this is even possible;- I know how to add a watermark onto an image to help prevent copying by using photo editing software.
But is it possible to add a watermark to a CHART before converting to pdf to try to stop photocopying and illegal sharing? To make it difficult or, better still, impossible to copy? In the old days, creating something in red would stop photocopying as it copied as black, obscuring the image. But today that wouldn't work.
I understand that more and more people are illegally sharing charts, scanning and photocopying and selling-on without permission.
Ideally, I'd like to find a pdf format which self-destructs after being printed once; and is not-photocopy-able, but that's probably a bit 'Star Trek-ky' !!! I just don't want to see any of my charts on Ebay.
Any suggestions would be very gratefully received. Thanks

Posted - 11/19/2012 : 03:44:06 Still hoping for some help here I've been in touch with Joan Elliot and she is having great problems with copyright thieves; The Gift of Stitching Magazine has had to close because of copyright theft, so if anyone can come up with an idea we'd ALL be VERY grateful!!
