HI
I'm having real problems with the margins on my patterns when I go to print. I try to adjust them to make the pattern fairly central, though that always seems impossible (can that be an option on the next version, please?).

Even if I alter the margins so there is still lots of space on the second page, the pattern goes over onto another page with just one empty line of squares. This doesn't look good when sending out to someone to print.

For example, if I've got a pattern which should print on four sheets of portrait A4 at 10 square per inch then I'm getting two extra pages with one column of squares on each. (I've done a Print Screen to show you but don't know how to attach it to this forum)

What do the numbers actually refer to on the set margin page? I'd like to be able to push the left hand margin bigger to centralise the chart, but it doesn't seem to work.

What am I doing wrong? I'd really appreciate your help.

Daisy

Hi Diane
Just to up-date you;
I contacted Mark, as you suggested, and he has worked his usual miracles and sorted the 'bug' whatever it was. Thank you all at PCStitch, again, for your help.

Daisy,

I know of no way to attach files in this software. The closes you can do is have an image on a 3rd party site and use the symbol just above the "C" of "Color" to point to it using the image bbocde command.

If you can do this, then what would be best would be a screenshot of the print parameters and then one of the resulting print page. If print preview shows the same as what you see when you print, then a screen shot of that would work.

If you don't have an account with a 3rd party site where you can upload the images, then I suggest you use the options to email me and then after I reply, you can send the images to me in an attachment. I would prefer not to publicly post my email address.

Good Luck,

Diane

Yes, there is an overlap set, but it happens whether there is one or not; I've tried both ways.

Can you tell me how I can attach either a Word doc or pdf to this forum to show you?

Do you have an overlap set? That can be part of the problem. Since that one last line seems to be blank, you can also simply remove the far right column (highest column number) from the pattern.

Remember that the pattern printed is NOT the actual stitching only but all columns you have defined.

As for centering, I don't know.
