I would like to have the back stitches of my printed pattern appear like surrounding lines.
I am aware of the Auto Back Stitch tool but obviously don't understand how to use it when I create a pattern with the wizard. I don't seem to find any help in the files or tutorials.
Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you kindly!

When you import an image to create a pattern, only full cross-stitches are created. All specialty stitches - including fractionals and backstitches must be added later manually. Auto-backstitching is simply a way of marking an area with backstitches without you having to create each individual stitch yourself. You still must tell it where and what area to mark and start the process.

Personally, I don't use the auto-backstitch because each stitch is one-stitch long which you can't see on the pattern but does generate large files. Making a single stitch that you intend to be multiple stitches (like a horizontal backstitch across 6 stitches) appears the same, creates smaller files but does affect the estimate of the floss needed for the project.

If this doesn't answer your question - please give more details as to what you are trying to do.

Diane
There is no such thing as a stupid question
