Posted - 11/20/2011 : 18:56:31 I would like to upgrade to this new version of the software but only if the PC Stich font has been fixed and all of the duplicate symbols have been REMOVED. I have been asking for this to be fixed for years and ignored. As it stands, my PC Stitch Pro is a huge pain in the behind to use because of this problem. I sell my patterns, so for me to sell one that potentially has a duplicate symbol in it that I haven't caught is unacceptable.
I would never consider paying more money for this program unless the developers can take the concerns of their customers seriously and make some changes.

Posted - 11/27/2011 : 10:29:24 This duplicate symbol is even more prevelant with the 2 legends. Can we not have one legend? Or one for full stitches and one for half / speciality? Examples of duplicates would be colors on legend #2 - items 15 and 17. with the one legend this is not as big a problem as it is now. |

Posted - 11/21/2011 : 01:47:44 I only create my patterns from existing images which does the auto symbol generation every time. When you are working with the max number of colors, a "quick view" does not reveal all the duplicates, nor does a lengthy one all the time.
There are other threads which discuss which symbols are doubled up or look the same as something similar when scaled down to the pattern size. I am not on my computer with PCS installed. Off the top of my head, the one that looks like a pine tree is a double. There are a bunch of them... and I cannot believe they have been left in the font. Why not replace them with a symbol which can be USED. |

I don't know if the duplicates have been removed or not. I'll try to look in the next few days. If you could post exactly what duplicates there are, it will help me.
However, I cannot imagine you NOT knowing you have the same symbol! The only way I can see that happen is with auto-symbol generation on something like an import of an image to a pattern. Even then, a quick view - using the palette tools should show that easily.
Also, there are 3 PCStitch fonts as well as any other true-type font on your computer that can be used and they don't have duplicates. Some of the true-types (like Wingdings) are really wild!
