I'm wondering if it's possible for me to exclude the colour information on the legend, but still keep the colour codes (so I want the legend to have the colour blocks with the symbol, but I don't want the thread information, such as the manufacture key and the colour name).

I do not see how that is possible. You can get it down to the simple code number for the color but you cannot have ONLY the color block.

I do not see why that is needful. It is always up to the stitcher to substitute other colors if desired (creative license).
