I was downloading graphics from the computer to make into patterns and I was wondering if there was a way that I could condense the amount of colors without destroying the integrity of the picture. Even the simplest picture I download needs 50 colors or more to look right. I was looking at some of the samples of patterns on the pc stitch pro 9 and I was wondering how to make my pictures look like those sample patterns. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!
Tips: 1. use a picture editor to reduce the amount of colours BEFORE importing it in any cross stitch design program. 2. reduce picture size BEFORE reducing the amount of colours.
You can use the free program Irfanview to reduce picture count of colours and size. Then you can use PCStitch to convert this picture into a cross stitch pattern. Or you can use my new conversion program...
