Hi there
Im doing alot of old patterns over (that I would like to keep)
when I finish I save to a disc. but when it comes to delete the pattern from pc pro it will not delete completely. the titles sta in the pop up window that gives you the choices: new-recently-open or tutorial. also when I start a new pattern and save it to desk top
it will not let me open the title pattern, unless I go thru pc stitch pro first

What shows as "last opened" is just a label. What do you mean by "deleting it from Pro"? When you delete there, you are deleting a portion of the pattern. It doesn't delete it from the drive itself. You use windows explorer for that.

You can set Pro to do several things upon opening the program. I have it set to "do nothing" so it doesn't try to load anything or even show me what is there.

Why would you save to the desktop? You should have a folder somewhere set for your patterns and save it to there. You can still go to it (using Windows Explorer) and double-click to open it directly in PCStitch.

I do not understand your statement "it will not let me open the title pattern, unless I go through pcstitch pro first". NO pattern will let you do that for any level of PCStitch. The whole purpose of the program is for you to open the pattern there. There are other programs that will open a PCStitch file (such as PatternViewer and myriaCross) but I don't understand how you expect to see the pattern without a supporting program?

This would all make sense if you would explain just what you are trying to do. I'm am totally confused.

If you have pattern pieces in Standard that are not in pro, usually when you open Pro, it notices it and asks if you wish to have them copied. Once it does that, you do need to open them in Pro to have the conversion completed.

Library Pieces made in Pro are not compatible with Standard.
