Hello,

I am seeking guidance on optimizing my color conversion. I understand that some post-conversion tweaking is required, but I find that I have to completely recolorize every photo that I convert. Skin tones are often too pink or lavendar, but I've had examples where they are orange-ish or greenish, too. Are there any settings in the program or on my computer that could help me?

Thank you,
Wendy

When I've been working with pictures and having that problem, I've gone back to a photo editor to tweak the colors a bit before re-importing it into PCS. I can't give you any really good step-by-step directions for it, as I've had to tweak different things for different pics. And, sometimes, I've had to tweak on picture multiple times before I got the result in PCS that I was looking for.

I have a similar problem-- this didn't seem to occur as much when I had PC Stitch 6, but now that I have PC Stitch Pro I'm noticing many photos need a ton of recoloring-- and they often lead toward reds (on photos that clearly have no noticeable red). I've tried different floss color quantities, and have tried dimming the photo prior to importing, but I'm still disatisfied with the results. Photos, with flesh tones especially, end up not looking very realistic.
