I somehow made a major boo-boo--probably with some accidental keyboard combination. I was working on a pattern and rolled my cursor over a color and looked on the palette bar to see what the color was. Somehow that capability is now GONE in ALL of my patterns. Also, if I put the cursor on one of the color symbols in the palette bar, the color number no longer shows up.

I have had to stop working on patterns-in-progress because I can no longer tell what floss colors are in my patterns.

HELP!!!!

Kay,

I'm trying to understand. Do you still see the symbols within the blocks in the Floss Palette? If not, right click on any of them and select "Display Symbols in Palette" and they will come back. Do you see the Row/columns when you move your mouse around the pattern? If not, maybe you have simply shifted the window DOWN a bit and it is hidden by your taskbar or the bottom of the screen. If that is the case, just move your mouse to the top bar and pull the window up a bit. You can also click to make it full screen or manually resize it.

There is another way to see what colors are used. If you have the floss properties panel available, you can click on a color and then pull up the panel to see it's settings.

I know of no way to actually remove the display of the color in the bottom of the window when you are in the palette or in the pattern itself.

One possible solution if nothing else works but it is rather drastic. That would be to uninstall and re-install the program. That would reset it to "factory" conditions. You could try a "repair re-install" without an uninstall. Just start the uninstall and when it asks if you wish to remove everything, just click cancel or no (I don't remember which). Then it will start a "maintenance" run which does take a bit of time and is a bit scary to watch the first time but will not remove the program.

Hi.. I also had the same problem that the floss colours and where they are in the pattern as I move my cursor around on the pattern is gone, and so I thought if I closed the floss palette I could bring it back after and it would be there. Now I lost the floss palette altogether and don't know how to get it back. lol

Help is only a question away !

Try View - Status bar I think that is what I used to get it back when I lost it.
