Hi I usually print out using colored blocks but I wanted to try printing using black symbols or colored symbols but they are very light. Is there a way to make the symbols darker?

Thanks,
Sue

Check your printer's settings and the situation of you black toner cartidge.

Of course you can also try to set the font you use for the symbols on bold and make the symbols a bit bigger, but that does sounds like a printer issue to me.

My printer is fine. That is the first thing I checked. Not all the symbols are light just some of them. They are light on the pattern when it is opened in pc stitch. I also tried using bold and they are still to light to print out.

With pro, you can have the symbols in different colors. If your printer is not set for color, they will print in shades of gray.

I suggest you be sure that the symbols that are causing the problems are truly black and not some other color. One other idea to use is to simply use another symbol! See if that affects things.
