Last night, I created a picture, using Distinctive Alphabets and Nautical Themes Pattern Pieces. I saved it, closed it and worked on something else. When I came back to look at it (I couldn't remember exactly what I had placed on the picture), the computer gave me this message, "Missing Licensing Information - This pattern contains information from the following Pattern Pieces collections which are not installed on your computer". Then, in a box, my name was shown. Below my name, it says, "To open this pattern, you need to install or reinstall the CD which contains these pattern collections." The only option is to click "OK", to get out of that screen....so I did. Then this message pops up, " Loading Pattern File - PCStitch encountered error 106 opening pattern file__________".

I KNOW I installed all of my Pattern Pieces, but for giggles, I installed them each again..... Iand I encountered the same problems all over.

What do I do?

I just had a similar problem. It may be because of some other recent problems but I cannot access any of my library motifs. I have the full set of pattern CDs (all 12) and all loaded into 7 and Pro. I'll check if I can get to them with 7. If so, I'll delete the ones in Pro and let it re-build them. That's the only think I can try.

Why would it suddenly decide my copies are not valid? It shows the motif but when I try to use it it tells me it's not installed! Huh?

I think I understand my problem but not yours. I have a problem accessing from both Standard and Pro. However, the original install was on another PC. Add to that that neither Standard and Pro are installed the same as on the old machine. Standard is now from download (before was from CD) and Pro is now from CD (before was from download). How about that for backwards!

I'm going to try re-installing All 12!

Again last night, I re-installed all of my Pattern Pieces...and nothing made me be able to open that pattern again. When it's installed, I don't do anything but enter the DC and hit Enter, Continue, etc., a few times. Do I need to be saving it somewhere specific?....it's saved to where ever it automatically wants to put it.

Yesterday, I designed another picture, saved and closed it. When I went to reopen it, it gave me the same "licensing issue". In this picture, I used something I obtained off PatternsOnLine (the day before....not a Pattern Piece), something I drew myself and a piece from the Holiday Motifs Pattern Piece.

I'm at a loss. What do I do? Will M&R do something to fix my problem? Do I just wait? I'm afraid to work on anything else, as I keep NOT being able to get them back (and don't want to spend hours recreating everything)?

Can you email me the pattern that you are trying to open at mmiller@pcstitch.com? I will take a look at it and see what licens info is causing the problem.
