| When I save and export my graph it also saves the grey area around the graph. It's not counted as a row or column in PC Stitch but when I use the exported picture to create a written pattern, that extra row on each side and top and bottom is being counted. Any way to not have that grey frame? |

How are you exporting your pattern. Normally, you would just save the file which creates a .pat file. This file is not a "picture" or "image", it is a coded representation of the pattern that PCStitch can read to re-create the graphical image you see.
The coded image is just the pattern, no extra "gray" area.

| Nope, it saves it as a .pat but then when I click to just open it as a photo or in paint, it has the pattern AND the grey trim around it |

I know of no graphics package such as paint that will open a .pat file. It is not a graphics format (such as png, bmp, jpg, or gif).
If you are able to open it in those products, then there is no way that this product is responsible for what image you see as it's not a supported method. The files ending as .pat are ONLY designed to be open with PCStitch. Older versions of the files may be able to open in PatternViewer but it does not support the last couple of versions of PCStitch files.

| Are you exporting as an image file? If yes, check the overlap tab and make sure that "display overlap shading" is not checked. |
