Posted - 01/29/2010 : 06:39:50 I have a pic i want to convert to a chart, importing it at its pixel size 145 x 129 pixels makes it distorted.
I played about with the underlay and when my pic is on underlay with the grid over the top it looks fantastic, sharp and like i want the finished result to be. Is there a way to merge it so it becomes the pattern without importing it.?
I dont think im saying this properly lol basically i have a pic i have put a grid over the top, i want to pull the pic to the front so to speak without faffing about doing individual stitches.
any ideas? |

Posted - 01/29/2010 : 07:33:33 Underlay and importing are two totally separate procedures. The underlay is more designed as an aid to convert an existing pattern to PCStitch format by having the chart under the grid to aid you putting in your own symbols. That can be done with a photo but you have to create everything.
It's also not the same thing. The best imported patterns have the same pixel dimensions as the final stitch dimensions (tiny picture) for 1 pixel/stitch ration. An underlay cannot possibly do that. It's just not the same animal. With an underlay, you MUST be seeing multiple pixels under each grid box. The grid box has to be big enough for a symbol!
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question |
