I would like to offer counted cross stitch designs on my site & just don't know where to start.
Is there anyone else in the forum that posts designs?
Hugs
Batty

I convert mine to a PDF for download, using PrimoPDF to print the patterns. See www.latitude9needlearts.com

Posting designs in PCStitch format is very common. It seems to be the most common cross-stitch format used (at least in the US). How you offer it depends on what software you have. That varies widely. The EMS board (www.cross-stitch-board.com) has a separate area for downloads and PCStitch is just one format offered.

The main thing you need to watch is to be sure that what you are offering is either your own design completely or you have received permission to offer from the design creator. You need to be careful not to violate copyright. That includes designs of your own that use copyrighted characters (Disney is a commonly violated company).

Also, it's almost impossible now to prevent your designs from being exploited by violators as well. If they are free with no download limit, that may not be too much of a problem.

Just some things to think about to get you started on your endeavor. I look forward to seeing your designs!
