After updating this morning I opened an older pattern and, as I usually do, tried to update the font to PCStitch 3 but get an error message that says 'Unexpected Error- Only True Type fonts are supported. This is not a True Type font.'

I tried a couple of other patterns and had the same issue.

Quin,

I upgraded and only had the problem of the shortcut being lost but I have heard of this problem. Most have solved it by closing Pro and starting it up again (a re-boot may also be required). The problem usually resolves itself. If that doesn't work, you should contact Mark about the problem.
