I have been trying to import images that have some areas of true purple. Not orchid or violet or lavender. I have looked in all the available palettes and can't find anything. Does anyone know how I can find floss to match?

how about anchor 112 or DMC 333...when you look at the legend they look paler than their reality. the anchor is a lovely rich hue, and is not a violet or a lavender
