Posted - 09/02/2009 : 18:16:35 I had to reinstall my PCStitch Pro and now it will not open the patterns that I purchased from PatternsOnline.com. The application comes up with an error message saying: Incorrect customer information : The file you are trying to load has been registered to another user and cannot be opened on this computer.
Below are the steps I have taken and the results. Any assistance would be most appreciated as 1 of the patterns I am trying to open is for my daughters wedding next week.
Prior to reinstall of software.
1. All patterns opened fine prior to the reinstall 2. Program came up Registered to Heather Campbell 3. Installed software was the downloaded version, activated with a registration key.
After reinstall from CD
1. All patterns purchased from Patterns Online will not open 2. Patterns display fine in the Pattern browser within PCStitchPro, they just will not open 3. Software does not have the registration aspect under Files section within the application. 4. Software does not show as being registered, nor does it show as being unregistered. 5. All aspects of the software are unlocked.
To rule out the off chance that only the downloaded software has a spot to insert the registration key, I did a complete uninstall via windows XP Add/Remove programs.
1. Re-download PCStitchPro from your website 2. Installed PCStitchPro downloaded version. 3. See problems above, same results.

When you try to open your patterns from POL, are you getting the notice that it is registered to xxx (your name)? If so, then you should be able to continue to tell your PCStitch that it is the computer and software to used as "yours".
Other than that, I suggest you use the main "Contact Us" and pass this on to POL itself.
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question
