I'm having a very odd problem. A few weeks ago, I tried to do an update and it said that it failed, but when I checked for new updates again, it said my program was up to date. Then when I tried to open files, it told me that it couldn't open them until I updated the program. So I reloaded PCStitch Pro, redid the update, and everything has been working fine until today. When I went to open Pro, it told me I needed to register (which I already have) I told it cancel and it gave me the same need to update error when I tried to open a file. So, I looked for updates and it says I'm up to date. Then I tried re-registering like it told me to and I'm still having the same problem. I can re-install again, but I was wondering if there was another solution.

Thanks,
Crystal

Whew! I would much rather have an error that is that easy to fix. At least you're OK now.

Umm, well it was just an IO problem...

I still had my icon on the desktop from my old PcStitch Pro before I upgraded and I had accidentally been clicking on that... I have removed it now

Crystal,

I have no idea of the registration problem. The program is designed to ask from time to time for you to check for updates. I just loaded Pro to check the latest version and it did that for me. I told it to check, it said I'm at the latest version (9.00.16) and then it loaded normally.

The only time an open should squawk is if the file you're trying to open is in a format or has a feature that is only on a newer version.

You might want to use the "Contact Us" point to let Mark know about this problem. He may have more of an idea what is going on than I do.
