Does anyone know the method that PCS Pro uses for the "Reduce Entries" palette tool? I'm wondering whether the program goes after the entries that have the fewest stitches or those that are closest in hue.

It would be pretty cool with a multiple deleting of floss, especially with patterns with a lot of colors, so one doesn't have to delete them one by one.

I just answered my own question, heuristically. I created a floss-usage file, reduced the entries by 1 and created another floss-usage file. Comparing the two, it appears that the reduction is by color-matching rather than color-usage.

I guess that I'll have to go after those onesy-twosy colors by hand.
