Can someone tell me why this is happening?

It doesn't happen on every pattern...but about 25 % of them. It bothers me because it doesn't look professional.

For example, let's say the pattern is suppose to be 12 pages. Three across and four down. When it prints to the pdf it is printing 16 pages instead of 12.

The first 3 pages are as they are suppose to be...but the 4th page has the vertical line on the left side of the page along with row numbers for rows that are not there...and are not suppose to be there. It is the same for pages 8...12...and 16.

It does it even when the last page across stops anywhere in the middle of the page and doesn't go as far as the right edge.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can stop it from happening?

Thank you for trying.

That's very possible. I've not seen the problem myself. One thing you might do is email a copy of the "offending" printout to Mark or Troy with an explanation of the problem. There emails are here in several places!

Under 'advanced' in 'layout' I looked and found 'letter' was selected. 'Letter' was also selected in 'device settings'.

Do you think 'SPOOL' or 'RAW' settings could have anything to do with it?

Primo PDF (my pdf printer) only had 2 tabs. Under Layout, Advanced, there was an option for page size. It's set to "letter". Maybe you have something like that that is not quite the same size.

Otherwise - Device Settings may be what you need.

Hi Diane.

I went to 'printers', then to 'properties' for the pdf printer. It gives me 7 tabs...GENERAL...SHARING...PORTS...ADVANCED...COLOR MANAGEMENT...SECURITY...& DEVICE SETTINGS.

Is that what you meant?

I looked at all of them but I don't know what to look for as far as correcting any parameters.

I'm referring more to what your print characteristics are when you print to PDF. There was another product that had problems printing to PDF. It was doing similar. You may need to check your PDF parameters.

I checked everything in 'options' and it is set to Ariel, regular, #8 for the grids...and set to PCStitch Symbols 3, regular, size 10 for the palette options.

That is what it is at default, I think. I don't remember having changed anything.

Is there anything else I need to check?

That sounds like your page definitions are not quite right for PDF. I'm not sure how to fix it. It depends on how you are printing, what fonts you are using and so forth.
