Immediately after starting the program (updated from link) PC Stitch Pro 9 freezes.

This happened after opening and converting a version 8 pattern to version 9. Also my own floss does not show.

What to do?

Mark,

You just answered my question on Troy's post - what happened to the skins. I noticed my option was turned off. I turned it on and that was fine. It just changed. The look for vista is very different. I put it on Office 2007 as the closest to the old "vista".

I just posted version 9.0.7 which should addres somem of these problems with the software not strting. The problem seems to be related to our "skinning" functions primarily on 64 bit Vista. This version defaults the skinning to off on vista systems so that the software will run with the default color schemes. We are still workingon the problem, but this should let everyone run in the mean time.

Hello,

This is Troy Riegle with M&R. I am sure we will be able to figure out why you are having trouble on your systems. How about we handle it this way. Please email me at triegle@pcstitch.com directly. We will work through the issues on your systems and get them going. The software runs good on Vista... There just has to be something different about your setups that we need to find. I will be happy to help you get going.

I will come back aftrwards and post on here what the solution was so that we might be able to help other folks who have the same problem.

ok?

Sincerely,
Troy

Everytime I now I start it up using the desktop shortcut I get the following error message PCStitch Pro has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

There is a bebug button and a close program button - when I chose the debug button everything closes but then nothing happens.

I`ve uninstalled the program and reinstalled it several times and it still happens. Any ideas on how to fix this.

Which version of Pro 9 are you using. It has been upgraded several times in the past week. It's now at 9.00.003
