I have PCStitch 7, with the Pro upgrade, on an XP. It worked fine until I was forced to do the SP-2 upgrade to get a new printer to work. Now I can open and use 7.0 fine, but cannot open Pro. I get a standard MS error: PCStitch Pro has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I reinstalled it completely and tried again, with the same error message. I tried to UNinstall and I immediately get: An error (-5001 : 0xffffec75) has occurred while running the setup.

If you had it registered before, the new install should see that code and not ask for it again. As long as it seems to be the fully registered version, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you Mark. I was using my original CD from 3 yrs ago when I first purchased 7 Pro. I followed your advice and downloaded the demo. It did complete the install, and seems to be working. I cannot find a place to enter my original code, but it is not asking for one either - will it do so since this was a demo install, or would it have taken it from an existing inf file? Anyway, it does seem to be ok now. Thanks again, Kathy R |

Are you installing from a CD or from the download? If you have one of the older CD's, I would suggest you download and install the demo version from the web site.
