I have PCStitch 7, with the Pro upgrade, on an XP. It worked fine until I was forced to do the SP-2 upgrade to get a new printer to work. Now I can open and use 7.0 fine, but cannot open Pro. I get a standard MS error: PCStitch Pro has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I reinstalled it completely and tried again, with the same error message. I tried to UNinstall and I immediately get: An error (-5001 : 0xffffec75) has occurred while running the setup.
Please help. Thank you, Kathy R

Sillenn,

If you had it registered before, the new install should see that code and not ask for it again. As long as it seems to be the fully registered version, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you Mark. I was using my original CD from 3 yrs ago when I first purchased 7 Pro. I followed your advice and downloaded the demo. It did complete the install, and seems to be working. I cannot find a place to enter my original code, but it is not asking for one either - will it do so since this was a demo install, or would it have taken it from an existing inf file? Anyway, it does seem to be ok now. Thanks again, Kathy R

Kathy,

Are you installing from a CD or from the download? If you have one of the older CD's, I would suggest you download and install the demo version from the web site.
