Hi all,

I am new to PC stitch and really love it. I have two questions I will post both separately.

Here is the first. I would like to print out my floss Usage charts as part of the total PDF package, but cannot find out how.

ALSO, I would like to print the floss usage list IN NUMERICAL order, so it will be easier for me to buy my floss but have the pattern show them in order added so color families are near each other.

Thanks for any help.

Mikki

Hi Diane,

thanks for the reply and the info. I will change and change back and print them as PDF's separately, as you suggested. Since I posted this I found that the PDF program I have will "stitch" together different pdfs into one file. I have yet to try it. But I assume it will do the trick.

I really have to say that I'm having so much fun with PC Stitch pro... just starting to play with library objects... and found the overlay function to be a realy great tool for some of the geometric library pieces I want to create from sketches I've made but that don't import the way I want (for example i would rather dark lines are backstitched)

:)
Thanks for your help
Cheers!

Mikki,

I'll answer your second question first - The floss chart uses the order from the main design. If you use color families for the design but want the floss usage chart to be otherwise, you need to change the way it is displayed to manufacturer's ID, print the floss chart and then change it back.

As for the PDF of the design AND the floss chart. Remember that PCStitch does not directly support PDFs. You need to use a pdf creator, usually as a virtual printer to achieve this effect. Most of these products support appending a to a file. I use PrimoPDF and I know it works for that. What you do is "print" the pattern how you want it. Then "print" the floss usage to the same name and tell PrimoPdf to append the new data to the end of the existing file. Result - all one file!

Other virtual printer PDF creators handle the situation differently but most do have the feature.

BTW - PrimoPdf is free!

Diane
There is no such thing as a stupid question
