I am trying to install my PC Stitch Pro onto another one of my computers. I am getting an error message, but the opening picture covers it and I cannot access the error message to see what it is. When I try to open it (this computer has Vista on it) I see the error message for a millisecond before it gets covered. I cannot update, I tried uninstalling, what next?

Anna,

What version of Pro were you trying to install? Before version 8.03 is not Vista compatible. If you are not at that level, install what you have but DON'T open it. Go to the site and download the "Big" update for pro (it contains Microsoft .NET 2.0) and run it to update your program. Then open it and try to update from there.

I had problems when I moved to Vista but that was not one of them. I knew the version on my CD was not Vista compatible so I did it as I described above. I had no problems with that part. My problems were with the pattern library CDs. If you have them, you will have to reinstall them as well.

Good luck!

Diane
