I have the latest version PCStitch Pro. Recently I purchased a pattern from Patterns Online. The download showed the format as "PVF". The only way I could open this pattern was by downloading PCStitch Pattern Viewer. My question is - Can these patterns not be opened directly in PCStitch Pro?
When viewing to purchase patterns is there a way to see what format the pattern is prior to purchasing?
The way I read it in your download info is, if it's "PVF" then you can not bring into PCStitch Pro to work on pattern at all- is that correct?

That is correct. When you purchase a pattern that comes as .pvf, you are not supposed to be able to change it. There are some .pat file that you cannot change either. If you open them, you are told they are "read only".

I have not tried with pro but I had trouble getting Pattern Viewer to release it's "hold" on the .pat extension. You can use Pattern Viewer to read a .pat file but you cannot use PCStitch (of any level) to read a .pvf file.

There is no such thing as a stupid question
