Posted - 09/14/2007 : 22:55:06 I take a lot of flower pictures and would like to create my own patterns usng these pics.The import works fine but the flowers lack definition,especially at the petal edges.any ideas on how to improve this? |

Posted - 09/15/2007 : 08:26:50 For any design, make your photo SMALL (physically). Try to make it no larger than then number of stitches you want your design. If you want it 8 inches wide on 18 count, then make the width of the photo about 8 * 18 pixels. You want to make it 1 pixel = 1 stitch. The photo itself will be tiny but that is the purpose and the best way to get what you want.
Flowers are going to lose some definition because they have "soft" edges and then to blend rather than stop at the back ground. A simple floral display and a small photo file will help.
