Please help. I have not been able to locate any detail instructions to use the auto backstitch. I am in the process of doing a cross stitch of my georgous german shepherd and would like to backstitch her entire body w/ markings but am unable to get it done in a way that i like. does anyone have any suggestions.??? It is a shame that there is not a tutorial for the auto backstitch. Please advise.

From what I understand, the auto-backstitch works to follow the outline of a single color. For a larger object utilizing multiple colors, such as must be the case for a dog, I do not think this is what you want. You may be better off doing the backstitch manually to get just the effect you want.
