Is it permisable to make charts using pcSTITCH and give them away for free? How about to sell them? .... using no copyrighted images. |

If the the design is truly yours with NO use of any of the included motifs or alphabets (don't even OPEN them), you own the copyright of the design and can give / sell it as you see fit.
You are using a tool, just like a writer uses a word processor, but the final result is a unique design and YOU created it and YOU own it. Protect it!
Remember that if you use the tool to begin the creation process using something like a clipart image, then it is not unique and you have to be aware that the original image may be copyrighted. In that case, you should check with the copyright owner as to what you can do. If you use your own photo or something like that to begin the process, then, it is truly yours!
