I had to replace my external hard drive that had all my PC Stitch files on it. I moved all of the files over to the new external hard drive(I thought) and now nothing is working. I can not even get PC Stitch to open and I can not open any of my saved patterns. Thank You.

All you can do is work with the company. You might try a to uninstall anything that might be there -- if you have something like Revo-Uninstaller, it's a good idea to use that.

Then re-install AFTER a clean boot.

Ditto to mamabear13. I have PCstich version 10.00.21 but it won't install on my new PC...it gives me the same error message no matter how I mess with Windows Features...on or off. the big cab file won't load. I have Windows 7. I emailed the company and someone asked me my version. I emailed back but haven't heard from her for several days. Help, please.

Look for a "registration" item in a menu. Click on it and then give your code. What you have may not be a problem but your actions may be limited. If there is no registration option, then maybe it is registered.

Thanks for your help, Diane. I have downloaded 10 but it has not asked me for the unlock key. Have not had a problem with anything yet. I guess I will just wait until it asks me for it.

If you have the unlock code for PCStitch 10, just download the product from the site and after you install it from that download, apply the unlock code. It is totally separate from PCStitch 9 and you can have both running concurrently.

I recommend zipping and backing up (onto a flashdrive or CD/DVD), the download install file in case you need to do it again. It's faster than having to download again.

I did an uninstall/reinstall with the disc that I have for PC Stitch 9. I also have an unlock key for 10 that I bought back in 2011. Can I still use that key for downloading 10 and how do I do that??

Just moving the software isn't the way to go because there are registry entries involved. The uninstall/reinstall is the way to go.

However, if you are not using version 10, an upgrade to 10 is not free.

OK. I uninstalled everything that was related to PC Stitch and reinstalled from the disc that I have. So far it is working. Now I just have to get it up to #10 and then I will be up to date.

Thanks. I will try that and let you know what happens.
