I suggest you convert the png file to a jpg and then try to import. It may be that Windows 8 doesn't support pngs in the same way.

The only issue for Windows 8 that I've heard about was one really strange registration issue where the wrong name kept coming up as to whom the copy was registered.

Everytime i try to import a PNG file it gives me an error message, when i try to "edit, select all" to move the image it gives me an error message... on my old laptop i never had this issue.. i'm just wondering if it's a windows 8 issue..
